I read somewhere that the worst thing to do with goals is to keep them secret. Striving to improve yourself is a good cause and shouldn't be hidden. It definitely helps to have someone supporting you along the way. And if no one reads your entries, at least you have a record of progress.
Habit Streak
goo.gl/gm1Is is an app I'm using to track daily goals. If you have an Android smartphone, I highly recommend it. Chains.cc is better from what I've seen, but it's for PC and iOS.
"After a few days you'll have a chain. Just keep at it and the chain will grow longer every day. You'll like seeing that chain, especially when you get a few weeks under your belt. Your only job next is to not break the chain" (Jerry Seinfeld)
So the point of this journal entry is to list some of my goals.
1. Practice drawing for at least 30 minutes a day
2. Finish and/or upload something on dA weekly (expect crap!)
3. Post a weekly journal update, either in art description or separately
4. Get as many 15 minute uninterrupted blocks of productivity as possible, 6 as a starting number. Any distraction resets the timer.
I wanted to keep the goals relatively small, so then I can actually complete some of them. It's enough to get me started, and if I get on a roll, I will just keep going. They may change as my needs evolve, we will see.
